Conditioned Asphaltic Mixture

The Conditioned Asphaltic Mixture® is a conventional asphalt mixture to which the Asphalt Mixture Conditioner® is added.

Asphalt Mixture Conditioner®

The Asphalt Mixture Conditioner® is an additive that, once added to the conventional asphalt mixture, transforms it into a non-perishable product.

License Agreement

The usage license is the contractually granted authorization to operate with the technology in a specific territory.

The Conditioned Asphaltic Mixture, MAA®, can be stored and/or transported to any location, regardless of distance or time, packaged or in bulk.

Upon arrival at the ambient temperature destination for asphalt paving, the Conditioned Asphaltic Mixture, MAA®, must undergo an indirect heating process using a mobile heater. This process renders the Conditioned Asphaltic Mixture, MAA®, manageable and compliant with global standards, identical to conventional asphalt mixture, as if it were freshly produced at the asphalt plant. It is then suitable for use as high stability pavement on streets, roads, and highways, or for other relevant purposes, as endorsed by the Soil Mechanics and Pavement Laboratory of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Los Andes, Mérida, Venezuela, and also as supported by the certification of our product after rigorous studies carried out by the prestigious road laboratories of the University of Antwerpen, Belgium.

It is worth noting that, prior to the creation of our product, the business of exporting ambient temperature asphalt mixture had never been explored globally because there was no economical method for conventional mixture to cool down without deterioration.

The Asphalt Mixture Conditioner, AMA®, makes this possible.

Advantages

1. Cost and Asset Optimization in the Paving Process: One of the advantages that will likely change the asphalt business globally in a short time is the optimization of the number of asphalt plants for consortia and/or asphalt companies. It will be more profitable to produce Conditioned Asphaltic Mixture MAA® and store it in a minimal number of plants that operate 365 days a year (depending on the volume of tons required by the client). This is instead of maintaining many operational plants idle when there are no asphalt mixing requirements in different sites or locations, thus reducing the high fixed costs due to underutilization.

Additionally, costs will be optimized on distant roads where there are no asphalt plants, and there is a need for asphalt. It would only be necessary to transport Conditioned Asphaltic Mixture MAA® and the mixture heater to the application site. Also, in roads where temperatures are very low, and the cooling time of conventional asphalt mixture is very fast, Conditioned Asphaltic Mixture MAA® will be an excellent application.

2. With this technology of the Asphalt Mixture Conditioner AMA®, the conventional perishable Asphalt Mixture becomes our product, the NON-PERISHABLE Conditioned Asphaltic Mixture MAA®.

3. As a strategic advantage, among others, it becomes an export product that can be stored for a considerable time, breaking paradigms related to paving technologies.

4. Possibility of asset redistribution (asphalt plants), taking into account the location of aggregate mines and bitumen sources to cover more territory.

5. Homogenization at the application site
